Viva el Cinco de Mayo!
What's new?
Not too much. This week I've been sick, feverish and concerned about
my kid's health.
Unfortunately in Mexico the health system is one of the most faulty
and homicidal in the world.
And the health program in my work is one of the worst.
Anyway I keep working on improving my skills adding elements for the
two webpages I've developed for CRONOS Tiempo de Todo! One for Spanish
speaking people and one for English readers.
As I've remarked before I'm not well acquainted with computers, I'm 43
and had to learn to work with computers very late in my life. I have
very little experience designing with new tools because in my career,
the design was entirely manual. And for the webpage in English I try
to be as accurate as possible trying to recover a decent knowledge of
the language (for years I haven't a decent English speaking work to
keep practice).
Anyway I think the main ideas are clear to the ones who visit this page:
For years I was the only one who worked in the promotion of modeling
clay skills on the internet from Spanish speaking readers. My old
YouTube Channel was closed and cancelled because several people,
mostly people from Mexican government felt threatened because of the
story I've kept writing about their "squareness" and reticence to
accept proposals to give better development abilities to children and
young people. Even the media (Newspapers and TV stations in Mexico
work under the same line: stop any chance of giving better
opportunities to youngsters because if they are ignorant they would be
more suitable to become addicts to alcohol, drugs and they will
question less the system).
Incommunicated, still I hurt where they fear more: My work.
With arthritis and with almost no funds, my computer and I, scare them
more than any other treat in the world, they just can’t stop me making
sculptures and teaching children ( and letting the world share the
proof of that ) so I try to keep working, smooth and by the numbers,
keep close friendship with local artists and help them to promote
their work and speak out my truth. If nobody has enough courage in my
country to stand out and say what's happening, I'm not about to be
shy.
I would like to invite people that read these stories to help me, if
you can translate them properly to French, German, Japanese, Russian,
etc. I'd appreciate it a lot, my French and Italian are pretty
rudimentary and I feel that I would do a very lousy job.
By the way, I thank a lot the feedback and caring words I've received
from Tennessee, Wisconsin, New York, a wonderful Email from Steven of
Toronto and also many pictures of creations of sculptors in Spain (
They like better the English webpage than the Spanish written one
)Also if you have work of yours to be shown to the world on blogs,
Facebook, MySpace, YouTube Channels or your own webpages, let me know
so I can post a review and recommend them in our link board.
Art and creativity are to be shared. I would like to promote mainly
modeling clay work but also if you make comics, cosplay, write poetry
or fantasy, fiction or horror.
The only things I would never support are sites about deep profanity,
drugs or alcohol promotion, or pornography. The net is full of that
and don't need any more free help.
